Women in Communications, inc. Indianapolis Chapter

Began in 1909 as Theta Sigma Phi, a college honorary for women in journalism; the Indianapolis chapter was founded in 1928 by students of Butler, Indiana and DePauw Universities. 1972 the name was changed to Women in Communications, Inc., and men were accepted as members. Members come from all fields of the communications industry and are dedicated to current issues in communications. The Indianapolis chapter has been active in providing education through workshops, manuals, conferences, and seminars.
