Hardeman, Elle Goode.

Elle Goode Hardeman of was regent of the Liberty Hall Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Charlotte, N.C., during World War I. The DAR was sponsor of the 5th Company, Coast Artillery of the North Carolina National Guard and later machine gun and anti-aircraft units. It also sponsored a Camp Greene base hospital ward and a ward at Oteen Hospital, Buncombe County, N.C. In the early 1920s, Hardeman was chair of the Committee on Friendly Cooperation with Ex-Servicemen for the North Carolina Federation of Women's Clubs. During World War II, she lived in Chapel Hill, N.C.
