Welsh, Priscilla, 1924-1998.
Priscilla Holden (Backus) Welsh was born in 1924 in Rochester, New York. She attended Wellesley College for two years before dropping out to join the Women's Army Corps in World War II. Later she finished her undergraduate studies at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont, where she studied the College's history of progressive education under founder and president, Royce Stanley "Tim" Pitkin.
