Hamilton Manufacturing Society.
Glass factory established in 1785 in Guilderland, New York, by Leonard De Neufville, as the Dowesborough or Dowesburgh Glass House. The company was reorganized in 1795 as MacGregor and Company, and subsequently, as Thomas Mather and Company; name changed to Hamilton Manufacturing Society in in 1796. The glass works continued to operate under this name until it closed in 1815.
