Spartanburg and Union Railroad Company
Incorporated in South Carolina in 1847 to build a railroad from Spartanburg to Union, S.C., to connect with Greenville and Columbia or Charlotte and South Carolina Railroad; reorganized in 1878-1881 as Spartanburg, Union, and Columbia Railroad Company.
