Falstein, Louis.
Louis Falstein immigrated from the Ukraine to the United States in 1925. He was a student at the Lewis Institute, Chicago, from 1930 to 1932. During World War II, he served with the United States Air Force. For several post war years he taught novel workshops and short-story writing at New York University and at the College of the City of New York. He published several novels in the 1950s and 1960s and a biography of Sholom Aleichem in 1968.
