Administrative history note: The Divisional Executive Committee Office was created in 1969 by the University Faculty Assembly. The Executive Committees primarily function in advisory capacities to the Deans of colleges or schools on matters of promotion and tenure. Other functions include approval of new courses and course changes, advice on educational policy, and resolutions on employee matters.
