Beaumont, Édouard ˜deœ 1821-1888

Painter and lithographer, Beaumont also illustrated famous books, and made circa two thousand lithographs depicting scenes of Parisian life in popular series such as Les Jolies Parisiennes, Ces petites dames, Bals masquées, Les plaisirs de la vie, Caricatures du jour. He collected antique weapons, published two books on swords, and bequeathed his collection to the Musée de Cluny.
