McCutcheon, Steve, 1911-
Steve McCutcheon was born on August 30, 1911 in Cordova, Alaska. After moving to Anchorage in 1915, he held a variety of jobs and eventually served terms in the Alaska Territorial House and Senate. He opened Mac's Foto Service in Anchorage in 1949 and developed a reputation as a commercial photographer and cinematographer. McCutcheon retired from public office in 1953. In 1955 he was elected to be one of 55 delegates for the Alaska Constitutional Convention. After selling Mac's Foto shop 1966, he concentrated on freelance and stock photo work, doing business under the name Alaska Pictorial Service. McCutcheon died in Anchorage, Alaska on December 16, 1998.
