Theatrical scenic designer of productions on Broadway and elsewhere; resident of Bayville, Long Island (N.Y.) and Columbia, S.C.; born circa.1865 in Richmond, Va.; died, 1951, in Columbia, S.C.; married, ca. 1887, to Jessica Eskridge Thomas (d.1948) of New Orleans, an actress who performed under the name Virginia Thomas during the 1880s; children of this union included Joseph A. Physioc, Jr., who served as a pilot during World War I.
