Michelozzo, Niccolo, 1447-1528.
Italian statesman. Following the return of the Medici to Florence, Michelozzo was appointed in 1512 to the post previously held by Machiavelli. His duties consisted mainly in writing letters for the Council of Ten. Vettori had been appointed Ambassador to Rome in January 1513.
