Pope, Elizabeth Marie, 1917-1992
Elizabeth Marie Pope was born May 1, 1917 in Washington D.C. She received an A.B. Degree from Bryn Mawr College in 1940 and a Ph.D. from John Hopkins University in 1944. Ms. Pope is a professor of English. She has written her books for particular people. The subjects of her books are in some way connected to history and are celebration of the power of intelligence.
