Harding, Fisher Ames, 1811-1846
Born in Massachusetts, 1811; was graduated from Harvard and studied law under Daniel Webster; practiced in Chicago, 1835-1837; moved to Detroit and was law partner of Fletcher Webster; was appointed master in chancery, 1840; member of state House of Representatives from Wayne County, 1841; connected editorially with Detroit Advertiser, 1841-1846, with an intermission of about one year; died in Detroit, August 4, 1846.
