Bowick, William L., 1923-
William L. (Bill) Bowick, Jr. was born in Albany, Ga. in 1923, and studied journalism and radio at the University of Georgia. He began his radio career as an announcer at WALB (Albany, Ga.) in 1947 and after several years moved to Columbus, Ga., where he was a radio personality doing a morning show, "Coffee with Bill," at WGBA until his retirement in 1993. During his time at WGBA, he served as program director and then vice president while continuing his on-air duties.
