Ku Klux Klan (1915- ). Knox County Klan No. 14 (Knoxville, Tenn.)
The Knox County Ku Klux Klan No. 14 was chartered in 1921 when it had 500 members. By 1923, it had over 2,000 members and the klavern held its meetings in a building at W. 4th Avenue and King Street in Knoxville, Tennessee; ceremonies were held at Sharp's Ridge, a mountain northwest of Knoxville. By 1928, there were only 191 members remaining in the Knox County klavern.
