Finnegan, John A.
John Finnegan of Butte, Montana was actively involved in conservative politics. He was state chairman of the Constitutional Party, resigning this position in 1970. He also ran unsuccessfully for the Montana House of Representatives in 1970 as an independent. Political causes espoused by Finnegan included abolishment of the Federal Reserve System, resignation of the United States from the United Nations, an end to urban renewal programs, and halting efforts towards regional governmental consolidation and cooperation.
