Stuit, Velma, 1911-

Wife of Dewey B. Stuit, Professor of Psychology and Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Iowa. Velma Stuit was active in numerous women's organizations, serving as president of the University Club and of the Iowa City Branch of the American Association of University Women. She was the founder of the University Club's Newcomers Club and co-founder of the International Wives Club.
