Auke Bay Laboratory (Juneau, Alaska)

Auke Bay Laboratory is part of the Alaska Fisheries Science Center, and a branch of the federal agency, NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Marine Fisheries Service), responsible for research conducted on living marine resources in the coastal oceans off Alaska and off parts of the west coast of the United States. With a staff of 400, their region covers nearly 3 million square miles including the North Pacific Ocean and the eastern Bering Sea.
