Cohn, Miriam R.
Miriam R. Cohn was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She earned her B.A. in 1943 and her M.S.S.A. in 1945 from the University of Pittsburgh. She joined the faculty at the University of Minnesota in 1951, after serving for two years at the Wilder Foundation (St. Paul, Minnesota). She was a professor of social work, focusing on group social work, and director of the Minnesota Resource Center for Social Work Education, which she helped found. Miriam Cohn retired from the University in 1989 and died on 27 June 2003, at the age of 80.
