Marshall, Benjamin, 1782-1858
Businessman, of Troy, N.Y., who purchased at least part ownership of the large cotton factory in Middlebury, Vt., ca. 1826 and became full owner ca. 1835. The factory was managed or leased at different times by Joseph Hough, Peck and Flower, and Hiram W. Pitts.
