Waddell-Setze-McClatchey Family.
James D. Waddell, trained as a lawyer, was a Colonel in the Confederate Army. He served with the Georgia Volunteers in the 20th Regiment, Benning's Brigade, Hood's Division, Longstreet's Corps. James was a friend of Alexander H. Stephens, and he served as a state representative in 1866. His sister was Elizabeth "Lizzie" Waddell who married Dr. Eugene J. Setze of Marietta in 1857. They had several children including J.A. Setze, E.J. Setze, C.R. Setze and James Waddell Setze. James W. Setze married Leila McClatchey, daughter of D.F. McClatchey also of Marietta, Georgia. James W. Setze worked as an auditor for the Sate Department of Revenue. He and Leila McClatchey had four children: James W. Setze, Jr., Lt. Elizabeth Setze, Adelaide Reynolds Setze and Major Juluis A. Setze. The Setze family resided at 155 The Prade. Atlanta, Georgia.
