David Hyslop
David Hyslop became President of the Minnesota Orchestral Association in 1991. He had previously served in the same capacity at the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and the Oregon Symphony. Early in his career he worked with the Minnesota Orchestra from 1966 to 1972 as Administrative Assistant and Assistant Managing Director.
These papers also cover the years when Deborah Borda served as Orchestra President for nine months between the tenures of Cisek and Hyslop. Tom McBurney served as Acting President after Borda’s departure for the New York Philharmonic in 1991 and before Hyslop was hired.
