Barrett Lincoln Collection Fund.
The Barrett Lincoln Collection Fund was founded in 1950 to raise $220,000 to purchase deceased collector Oliver R. Barrett's Lincoln materials for the Illinois State Historical Library. Not enough money was raised so the Fund could only purchase some items at auction, including a copy of the Gettysburg Address and 10 letters from Abraham Lincoln to Joshua Speed.
