Whitehead, Frederick Allan, 1944-
Fred Whitehead was graduated from the University of Kansas in 1965 with a B.A. in English. He was a member of Campus Americans for Action, and was selected as Danforth fellow for 1965. He did his graduate work at Columbia University from 1967-70, and also held a part-time teaching position at Stevens Institute in Hoboken, New Jersey. As a graduate student, he became involved in the draft resistance movement and other activist causes.
