New York, N.Y., 1908; attended City University of New York; worked for and with Jessie Wallace Hughan to form the War Resisters League; Executive Secretary of the War Resisters League from mid 1920s to 1947; worked with the Emergency Peace Campaign and the Metropolitan Board for Conscientious Objectors; d. 2004.
