Henderson, Douglas, 1914-

Douglas Henderson (b. 1914), economist, diplomat, and government official was an Economic and Foreign Service officer in Mexico from 1942 to 1943, in Chile in 1943, in Bolivia from 1943 to 1947, for the Department of Commerce from 1947 to 1950, and in Switzerland from 1950 to 1956. He was the Assistant Director of the Economic Defense Administration at the Department of State from 1956 to 1959, and Economic Counselor to the Deputy Chief of Mission and Chargé d'affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Peru from 1960 to 1963. Henderson served as the U.S. Ambassador to Bolivia from 1963 to 1968.
