BIOGHIST REQUIRED Luther Carrington Goodrich (1894-1986), Columbia, M.A., 1927; Ph.D., 1934; L.L.D., 1962. Dean Long Professor Emeritus of Chinese, former Chairman Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures and Director of Ming Biographical History Project. Born in China, Goodrich travelled widely, teaching and writing on Chinese cultural and historical topics. He served as advisor to numerous art historians, academics, and institutions.
