Ceruzzi, Paul E.
Konrad Zuse was born on June 22, 1910 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf, Germany. He was the inventor of the pre-World War II Z1, the first binary digital computer, and he subsequently designed the Z3 (the first fully functional program-controlled electromechanical digital computer) and Z4 (the only machine of his to survive World War II).
