Founded in 1946, combining the operations of three predecessor groups: Church Committee for China Relief, Church Committee for Relief in Asia, Church Committee for Overseas Relief and Reconstruction. In 1965, became part of the National Council of Church of Christ in the U.S.A., Division of Overseas Ministries.
