Putnam, Israel W. (Israel Warburton), 1786-1868
Israel Putnam (1786-1868) was admitted to Harvard College from Dedham, Massachusetts. He would have received his A.B. 1809; however, it appears that he did not receive the degree. He is mentioned in connection with "Disorders in the commons" in April, 1807. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1809 and Andover Theological Seminary in 1814 and later became a minister in Portsmouth, N.H. and Middleboro, Mass. and a trustee of Dartmouth, 1820-1840.
