Al Pacino, stage and film actor, was born in New York, N.Y., April 25, 1940. Since the release of the first GODFATHER film in 1972, which made him famous, Al Pacino has played lead roles in films (DOG DAY AFTERNOON, SERPICO, SCARFACE) and on stage (RICHARD III, AMERICAN BUFFALO, THE BASIC TRAINING OF PAVLO HUMMEL).
