Hassid, Lila B., 1898-1971
Translator of Yiddish poetry and prose who was widely published. She also conducted a program on radio station KPFA, based in Berkeley, Calif., for fourteen years, that featured discussions of Jewish folklore in literature and music and other topics, and readings of Yiddish poetry.
