Harvard University. Business Manager.
The office of Business Manager first began in 1934. Responsibilites included dining halls, building maintenance, telephones, and eventually government research contracts. In 1948, the Business Manager became the Director of Government Contracts. Other duties were assumed by Buildings and Grounds, Dining Hall Association, and the Comptroller.
