Rush, John W., d. 1903.
Rush was a Methodist minister and son-in-law of Bishop James Osgood Andrew. He raised a company of troops for the Confederacy, surrendered at Island Number 10, was imprisoned at Johnson's Island, Ohio, and was discharged from service upon his parole in 1862. He served as a preacher in south Alabama until his retirement.
