Parsons, Samuel Bowne, 1819-1906
Horticulturalist, nurseryman, landscape gardener, author and abolishionist. He was a Quaker, and itinerant preacher, active in local affairs and a member of the Underground Railroad, helping many slaves to escape to freedom.
