Charles H. Gilman & Co.
Charles H. Gilman & Co. was a Portland, Maine, investment banking firm and securities dealer. Charles H. Gilman established the firm during the 1890s, and it was incorporated in 1912. The majority of the firm's clients were individual investors, banks, colleges and universities, and other institutions; most were located in the state of Maine. Charles H. Gilman & Company ceased operations by 1974.
