Greenwich Monthly Meeting of Friends (Hicksite (1827-1955). Preparative Meeting of Ministers and Elders.)
Greenwich Monthly Meeting was established in 1783 by Salem Quarterly Meeting. Its first business sessions were held in 1784. The Orthodox monthly meeting was discontinued in 1893; its members were transferred to Woodbury Monthly Meeting (Orthodox). The Hicksite monthly meeting was the forerunner of the current Greenwich Monthly Meeting.
