McAlpine, Daniel, 1849-1932
Daniel McAlpine was a notable plant pathologist, lecturer in biology at Melbourne University from 1884, vegetable pathologist to the Victorian Department of Agriculture, 1890-1910. Noted for his bulletins on fungus diseases of Australian crops and plants.
