McDonald, Paul
Alvin A. Lawrence was born in Branford, Connecticut, in 1923 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He attended college in Indiana, earning a degree in Aeronautical and Civil Engineering, and spent his career as an engineer, retiring in 1991. He currently lives in Columbus, Ohio, and created the locomotive and car drawings for publications sponsored by the New Haven Railroad Historical and Technical Association .
