Pritchard, G. B. (George Baxter), 1869 - 1956.
George Baxter Pritchard was head of the school of mines at the Working Men's College (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) 1897-1934. Robert Hoddle arrived in New South Wales in 1823 and worked with J. Oxley in Queensland and the Blue Mountains. In 1837 he was appointed senior surveyor at Port Phillip and designed Melbourne, Geelong, Williamstown and many other Victorian settlements.
