Jenkins, Edmund Thornton, 1894-1926
Jenkins was a composer and musician. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina in 1894. He studied at the Avery Institute and Morehouse College, and he attended the Royal Academy of Music from 1914 to 1921. He played in jazz bands and dance orchestras. He began his own publishing company in Paris. He died there in 1926.
