Ricard, Virginia B.

As a child, Virginia B. Ricard attended the Dunbar School in Salina, Kansas. She went on to graduate from Marymount College of Kansas and to earn Master's of Education degrees in Guidance/Counseling and Adult Education from Colorado State University; she earned a Ph.D. in Adult Education at The Union Institute at Cincinnati, Ohio. During the 1990s, Ricard worked at the University of Phoenix, Colorado Division.

Ricard was active in various organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning, and the Colorado Commission on Higher Education. She was also very active in Girl Scouts, serving on the National Board of Directors, the National Communications Committee, as Region V chairman, and on the Executive Committee.
