Stone, Stillman, 1835-1931.

Stillman Stone was born on September 20, 1835 in Eden, Vermont, the son of Henry Hutchins and Diana (Richards) Stone. He enlisted in Co. H, 9th Vermont Infantry Regiment on May 29, 1862, and was chosen as first sergeant. He was promoted to second lieutenant in Co. H on March 13, 1863, and to first lieutenant on June 4, 1863. He resigned October 19, 1863. He died February 8, 1931 in Lunenburg, Massachusetts.
