Pleasonton, A. J. (Augustus James), 1808-1894
A.J. Pleasonton served as a brigadier general in the Civil War, commanding a detachment of Pennsylvania militia before going on to publish theoretical work on the effects of blue light. He is regarded as the father of chromotherapy.
