Kysar, Edward P., 1924-2007.
Eward P. Kysar, Jr. was born in Calif. in 1924 and joined the Army at Los Angeles in 1942. At the time of enlistment he was unmarried, had completed four years of high school and was employed as a miner. Kysar joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. where he was assigned to Company L of the 87th Mountain Infantry Regiment. He participated in the landings and occupation of Kiska Island, Alaska in 1943. Kysar transferred to the another division and participated in the Pacific Theatre of operations for the remainder of WWII. He attained the rank of Private First Class with the 10th Mountain Division and Corporal in the Pacific Theatre. Kysar died in 2007.
