Simpson, Richard V.
Herreshoff Manufacturing Company, Bristol, RI was founded by John Brown Herreshoff in 1863. The firm built steam and racing yachts, as well as other sailing craft and U.S. Navy torpedo boats. The yard was closed in 1946.
