Edward IV, King of England, 1442-1483
Charles Pilkington served both Edward IV and Richard III in Yorkshire and Nottingham, and received extensive grants from Richard III, including the constableship of Nottingham and the stewardship of Sherwood Forest. He does not appear in royal records after 1485, presumably because as a Yorkist he fell from favor on Henry VII's accession.
From the description of Royal pardon to Charles Pylkyngton, 1479, Lancaster. (Unknown). WorldCat record id: 754866331
