Kentucky Council on Agriculture.
The purpose of the Kentucky Council on Agriculture, as defined by KRS 247.410-247.430, is to develop and promote a statewide agricultural and agribusiness program, including distribution and promotion of agricultural products.
The duties of the council include offering advice to the commissioner of agriculture concerning agricultural development and marketing of agricultural products; promoting cooperation among public and private agencies concerned with agriculture; preparing studies, reports, and recommendations concerning increasing farm income through the development of a statewide agricultural program; and conducting public and private hearings about the council's programs.
