Chicago Colorado Colony.
Organized in February 1870 by Chicago citizens led by Reverend Robert Collyer, the Chicago Colorado Colony established the town of Longmont, named for nearby Long's Peak, in Colorado's St. Vrain region North of Denver in 1871. It was incorporated in 1873.
