Carlton, Lillian, 1914-
Born in London in 1914, Carlton trained as an interior decorator. During World War II she joined the Red Cross and served as a nurse, after which she worked with the blind at St. Dunstan's Hostel from 1945-1964. She emigrated to Australia in 1968 and worked at Frensham School, Mittagong, before retiring to Canberra in 1976.
